The narrative of women and girls in Nepal is a challenging one. Struggles with sexual and domestic violence, unjust laws, corrupt justice system towards women and girls, child marriage in rural areas, and victim blaming make the narrative very bleak. Positive changes have been happening recently however much work is still to be done. Many of the young women we work with have personally struggled with the worst of these issues. They know first hand the inequality in their society.

We conduct Leadership Treks for young women in Nepal. Our primary focus is to cultivate leadership and self development, both personal and professional, through a process designed by coaches and mentors. We also focus on building confidence, resilience, and self discovery through a challenging trek in the Himalayas.

The Treks are 7-10 day expeditions. Through pairing experience design with an intensive curriculum, we hike during the day and conduct workshops, discussions, and activities in the afternoons and evenings in which the women learn from local mentors and instructors, and teach each other. They learn about cultivating a personal vision, forging healthy and meaningful relationships, navigating life changes, and aligning career and education with their vision and purpose they have identified.

As Nepal currently struggles with many talented youth leaving for other countries. We aim to equip these young women with the tools they can use to create success for themselves and to enact positive and needed change in their nation. Thus creating an attainable prosperity for their fellow Nepali women as well.

We are planning to become an official 501 (c)(3) organization once we build enough support and foundation.
